Meet The Team
Celeste Kendall
My name is Celeste Kendall. I am a mother to two beautiful girls, 1 handsome boy, and a bonus mom to a wonderful 19-year-old son. I began homeschooling in the fall of 2019 (this is our 5th year) after sending my son to a year of public school and not having it go over well. A friend of mine told me that the place for children to be is with their mothers who are the best teachers for their children. Having already been thinking of homeschooling after my son’s struggles in kindergarten my friend gave me the push I needed. The many amazing homeschool families we have met through the years has only helped to increase my love of the homeschool community. It has been one of the hardest experiences, yet the greatest blessings one could ever ask for in this lifetime. To teach them of Christ and to make the Savior apart of your daily studies is such an amazing growth in love and patience.
One of my favorite quotes from Abraham Lincoln says, "All that I am, or hope to be, I owe to my angel mother."

Racheal Gray
Hello there, I’m Racheal
I have been married now for 12 wonderful years. We have 2 children, Carmela 7 and Cooper 5. We also have two dogs. I own a private hair salon and work out of my house.
Funny thing is if you asked me a few years what my plan was and where I’d be today- none of this was on my radar. I was happy at the salon I worked at for 15years and we were happy with our local small school! However COVID and actually sending our daughter to school changed everything.
COVID closed the salon for a while. Then when it reopened we had limits on occupancy. That meant my kids could no longer always come with me. Change number 1–open my own salon so my kids could continue to be in my care. Then came to sending Carmela to school. She only went for one day— and we quickly learned our parental rights were being taken advantage of. So change number 2 -she never went back— and here we are!
Now I’m running my salon and homeschooling both kiddos! I’m so happy life took these crazy turns and led us on this path. Being with my children all the time, and learning with them is truly such a blessing! God is good! I’m so happy you are here on this journey with us.
Welcome to our Co-op!
Kasey Prokop
My name is Kasey Prokop, also known as Declan’s Mom. Declan is 6 and excited to start first grade, our first official year reporting to the state! Our family resides in Economy Borough, where myself and Declan’s Dad (my fiancé, Neil) both grew up. We have two crazy dogs and a 4 year old goldfish named Oscar. I love homeschooling because of the freedom that it gives our family. From the time my son was a baby I had no desire to send him to public school. I couldn’t wrap my head and heart around missing out on so much time with him, the days are long but the years are short. I am an admin for a local homeschooling Facebook group called “Homeschooling in Grace”. I enjoy planning field trips and park meet ups with our homeschool friends, we are always up for an adventure! My heart is full and I’m so grateful for the friends we have gained on our homeschool journey so far. We look forward to these relationships growing stronger and building new ones at this co-op. I am honored to serve Journey in His Grace Co-op as a leader and founding member. I’m looking forward to teaching classes at the co-op and helping to keep everything running smoothly. We hope you join us on this journey!
Amber Kurylo
I am a homeschooling mom to 3 little girls (ages 9 and twin 5 year olds). I have been homeschooling since 2020. I myself was not homeschooled and was apart of the public school system. I never intended to homeschool my family and if you would have asked me 5 years ago if I’d ever consider homeschooling I would have told you absolutely not because it was just something I never saw working for our family. But when my oldest started kindergarten my mama heart was broken and I felt like I was loosing so much of my time with her to the public school system and she also really struggled with school and the long hours. Her first year of school was also the same year as Covid so then she ended up being home with me anyways for the second part of the year and while she was home, she flourished and was doing so much better than when she was actually going to school so my husband and I knew we needed to give homeschooling a chance.
I am one of the leaders of the local homeschooling Facebook group called “Homeschooling in Grace” and I organize many of our field trips to local businesses, farms and many other local learning resources for the kids. I also am the leader of the Beaver County Wild & Free nature learning group.
Welcome to Journey in His Grace Co-op. I am so happy to have your family here with us and I hope you enjoy your time with us as well!
